Requiring only a quarter the space of a tennis court, we can build it in almost any backyard.

Construction & Tennis Court Conversion

Obviously we can build you a brand new Pickleball court, but if you currently have a tennis court it can easily be adapted to include Pickleball while maintaining tennis play. Merely have us paint Pickleball lines at one or both sides of the tennis net and you have just created a multi-purpose sport court. Roll out a portable light weight Pickleball net and roll it away when done. A Pickleball court also makes for a great half-court basket

It started as a game that was intended for parents and their children to enjoy together, and this spirit has endured. It’s easy to learn and fun to play for people of all ages. Pickleball is also known for its easygoing, nice, and inclusive culture, which makes it approachable for beginners.

If you’re local to Long Island, you may have noticed that there aren’t many opportunities to play pickleball publicly. Tennis Planning can build one for you in your own backyard.

History of Pickleball

During a vacation weekend in Bainbridge, Washington in 1965, Joel Pritchard, Bill Bell, and Barney McCallum were looking for ways to amuse their bored kids. They grabbed a whiffle ball and some mismatched paddles and headed out to the tennis court to bop the ball back and forth. Soon everyone had an opinion: net height, court size, the space limits that the tallest player’s proximity to the net should impose. One of the moms, Joan Pritchard, soon dubbed the backyard game “Pickleball,”

By the 2020s, the likes of Tom Brady and LeBron James were buying professional pickleball teams.
